Michele Mantovani Studio participates in the CIFF 2021 Furniture Exhibition, which takes place this March in the Chinese city of Guangzhou. The CIFF Fair is a benchmark in the furniture sector and is considered the most important international furniture export exhibition in China. Our studio will take part in this year’s edition, taking care of the booth design and the catalogue of the new Kelvin Giormani collection.

CIFF Furniture in Guangzhou, the most important furniture exhibition in China

The Guangzhou International Furniture Exhibition celebrates its 47th edition this month. This year, the CIFF Exhibition wants to promote international design and create a new business model that adapts to the so-called new normal. A model based on the synergy between the powerful Chinese domestic market and the expansion in international exports.

Despite the Coronavirus, CIFF Furniture 2021 is expected to host more than 4,000 companies and 300,000 visitors this year. This edition is held in two different stages, organized by the following product sectors:

• From March 18 to 21. The first part is dedicated to home furniture, outdoor furniture and leisure. It also presents the novelties in fabrics and interior design accessories.
• From March 28 to 31. The second part focuses on office furniture, hotel furniture, public spaces and waiting rooms. In addition, it exhibits the news in materials and machinery for the furniture industry.

Michele Mantovani Studio participates in the CIFF Furniture of Guangzhou 2021 collaborating with Kelvin Giormani

The Michele Mantovani Studio team is in charge of the art direction of the furniture firm Kelvin Giormani. In addition to coordinating the stylistic line of the brand, we take care of the global communication strategy as well as the design of collections, booths and catalogues. For the 47th Guangzhou Furniture Exhibition, our team has designed the booth where the firm will present its new collection of sofas, armchairs and side tables, which are also designed by Michele Mantovani Studio.

The design of the booth offers the visitor a tour of domestic spaces with an international design. For the finishes of the walls and structures, we have used the same materials that predominate in the Italian design furniture of Kelvin Giormani: fabrics, leathers, marble and wood.

Kelvin Giormani’s new catalog is inspired by the work of Carlo Scarpa

Our team has also been in charge of designing the catalogue with which Kelvin Giormani will present his latest collections at CIFF Furniture Guangzhou. The graphic proposal of the catalog is inspired by the geometric volumes and the light games of the Italian architect of the modern movement Carlo Scarpa. In addition, it proposes finishes that follow this year new interior design trends.

In this new catalog, the different pieces of the collection are presented as works of art in iconic spaces by the Italian architect. At the same time, we have decided to give prominence to the new coffee tables, furniture elements that are essential to define Kelvin Giormani’s global interior design proposal.
